Yesterday Christopher and I went to Soup Sunday and experienced some seriously tasty soup! 70 local vendors set up stations all around the forum and for just a $20 donation, we got to taste it all! Oh goodness, it was fun! Here are some shots of some of the soups we tried:
Yeah, we ate a LOT! Haha! We seriously tried at least one bite of almost every single soup! It was such a fun experience. We originally went because we wanted to support the charity since it’s one we care about, but it turned into a really fun date afternoon! 🙂
Also, in other news – I got a very special package in the mail this weekend! Kelly, from RahRaw hosted a giveaway and I won! Yay! Wanna see what I got??
So I had said that the next question I answer will be about fashion/clothing, but I think that question deserves it’s own post. So to finish off today’s post I’m going to answer a couple of short questions. Hopefully tomorrow we can delve into fashion and what it means to me. 🙂
Carlee: What do you like to eat for breakfast?
Breakfast can be eggs (scrambled or over easy) with toast, PB Blast, Green Monster (my latest kick), cereal (favorites: Kashi Honey Sunshine, FiberPlus Cinnamon Oat Crunch, and Multigrain Cheerios), pancakes or even occasionally leftovers. 🙂
Peanut Butter Blast
1 small banana
1/2 cup vanilla fat free yogurt
1/2 cup skim milk
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
Blend all ingredients except cinnamon. Top with pinch of cinnamon
Carlee: What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to most all music. I used to dislike twangy country stuff, but even that has grown on me some (I blame it on living in TN now, haha!). I don’t listen to music with curse words, though. Stuff like that just gets stuck in my head and I don’t like it. Oh, and I don’t like “scream-o” music. You know, the stuff where it’s just like screaming the whole entire time. Not for me. I like to be able to understand the lyrics at least. Golly, now I sound old. Haha!
Blond Duck: Ever thought about doing a cookbook?
Absolutely. I really need to develop more of my own original recipes first, though. I’d say about half of my recipes are just adapted from other people’s recipes, a quarter of my recipes are family recipes and the other quarter of my recipes are the ones that Christopher and/or I have come up with. While I don’t mind sharing my “recipe book” with you guys on here since I always give credit wherever it’s due, I can’t imagine publishing a recipe that isn’t either a family recipe OR completely mine. So that will probably be several years down the road. 🙂
So Carlee, Ellie, Alyssa and Lacey asked about kiddos. I’m actually going to email each of these ladies individually to answer their questions, but as far as this very public blog goes, I will say this much: right now, Christopher and I love enjoying this season of our marriage when it is just the two of us and Oreo.
